Our Mission Supports:
Children impacted by addiction
Children affected by addiction often carry confusion, fear, and misplaced responsibility. We exist to remind them—through care, connection, and community—that they are blameless, worthy, and never alone.
Caregivers, families, and advocates
Supporting a child impacted by addiction requires compassion, clarity, and support. We equip caregivers and advocates with resources and guidance to help children feel safe, seen, and understood.
Communities standing in the gap for kids
Healing happens when communities show up. We partner with individuals and organizations committed to protecting children and creating spaces where they can grow, heal, and thrive.

GIVING VOICE TO THE VOICELESS
Children impacted by addiction are often unheard—not because they have nothing to say, but because they don’t feel safe saying it. We believe there is therapeutic value in creating supported spaces where children can share, listen, and help one another understand they are not alone. Each year, our annual Blameless Children event provides a safe, guided opportunity for children to be heard—reinforcing that their voices matter and their experiences are valid.

Addiction is an illness.
Children do not cause it.
Children cannot fix it.
And it is never their fault.
The Blameless Children exists to ensure this truth is spoken, heard, and reinforced—by caring adults and by children supporting one another.

Our Community in Action

HOW WE SUPPORT
Everything we do is guided by one belief:
Children heal when they are protected, believed, and given a voice.
Moments of Joy & Belonging
Each year, our Blameless Children Celebration creates a safe, welcoming space where children can simply be kids. Through joyful experiences like cosplay characters, free toys, shared meals, worship, and hearing other children’s stories, kids are reminded they are not alone—and that their story matters. Every child attends at no cost, because joy and belonging should never depend on circumstance.
Giving Children a Voice
We believe there is healing in being heard. Through safe, guided opportunities—including our annual Blameless Children Celebration and select recovery conferences—children impacted by addiction are given space to share and be heard. These moments help adults in recovery better understand the impact of addiction on children, while allowing young voices to be heard in a way that is empowering, not overwhelming.
Supporting Families in Recovery
Addiction often limits a parent’s ability to provide during the holidays. Through our annual Blameless Children Toy Drive, we partner with local recovery centers to ensure parents in recovery can give their children meaningful Christmas gifts. For families rebuilding their lives, this support restores dignity, strengthens connection, and reminds children they are deeply loved.
Helping When Kids Fall Through the Cracks
Sometimes children need help outside of programs and events. We provide assistance when blameless children lack essential items for school, sports, or daily life—and when families with children are facing unexpected hardship. These moments of practical support can make a lasting difference, ensuring children don’t go without simply because of circumstances beyond their control.
Your Support Makes This Possible
Caring for innocent hearts takes a community.
Donations to The Blameless Children help fund resources, experiences, and direct support for children affected by addiction—ensuring they are reminded, again and again, that they are blameless and not alone.
